Mystery overtakes me

Desire wakes within me

Dread washes over me;

Love comes and saves me.

I've been waiting for you my whole life

but I grew restless,

Would I still be here unsatisfied?

No. For that's not what life is...

So I searched the heavens for an answer

but the clouds were silent

So I searched the Earth for my dream

and the rocks tore at my feet

but I endured for you.

All my trials, all the tribulations...

I had to survive, just to find you

All of my quests for love, 

were mere echoes of what I desired

All of my attempts at controlling that

was mere desperation at having lost you.

I had to find you, so I survived.

And now, what bliss,

what confusion, what sweet emotion

washes over my glistening heart,

that intangible thing I so needed

that intangible thing I sought for so long,

I now have and it's a mystery,

but it completes me.

Because of her, 

I will not fail.
