Happiness

Of the things that I wish for,

things that I would have,

I would have your happiness

expanding, abounding and settling

upon you...

never to be lonely,

never to be hurting,

never to be with such pains again.

I would have your happiness

beyond the dark experiences

of your life, those unsettled times

when things went awry and 

you found yourself alone...

I would have your happiness

light up your days and 

be filled with the exceptional

wonders of life, that 

you would be crazy happy

and fulfilled for the rest of your days.

These are the things I wish for,

these are the things I would have 

as my own.

A Christmas Card for Anne

 Greetings and Salutations,

it's the holiday season,

and I wanted to remind you

that I love you

and I didn't need mistletoe

this year because the best present

was already given to me in you.

So, may you have holiday cheer

with those who are near,

and assume the position

because I'm sure I'll want a hug

this year from you.

We aren't alone again this year,

this year, we have each other

for the rest of our lives.

Strength

You are my source of strength,

in the face of the worst things 

in the world...I hold on, now 

it's your turn so, 

when you find yourself

under the dungeons' torturer

today, find peace in my light

shining because of you,

I found my way back and now,

I'll keep shining for you...

shining because of you...

catch my rays of strength 

beaming at you, let them take you

beyond the pain, beyond the terrors...

higher and beyond the terrestrial

into the cosmos, beyond the universe

riding the strength we feed on

from each other...

let me hold you now in my embrace,

you are my roots into this place,

I am the canopy above you giving light

diffused with shade, rays beaming through

giving love to you, 

the way you gave life to me...

Awake This Morning

Awake this morning 

And know that I love you.

Even from far away 

I am near to you in my heart.

May your coffee be magical 

Today. 

As you wipe the sand out

Of your eyes, and slowly 

Awake this morning,

Know that I love you.

 

The Returned

An adventure not chosen by me,

a detour until I could be with you,

a temporary separation...

I was the ghostly memory of

a terrible thing past;

memory no longer,

I fought to be with you,

myself and others:

the church which would 

have kept us apart

as part of business as usual.

But as they say, to Hell with the Devil,

I slayed the dragons and 

chased away the demons...

I followed the paths of my life

to you and our destiny, 

which was to be together,

and I came back to you

the returned.
